Privacy and disconnecting
What a connected AI app can and cannot do, what WiseView sees, and how to disconnect.
What a connected app can do
- Read-only
- It reads market data your plan includes and your own watchlists and reports. It cannot trade, change your account or see payment details.
- Your plan, your locks
- Each lookup follows your plan exactly as the desk does, checked on WiseView’s server for every call.
- Quoted, never obeyed
- Text written outside WiseView — a headline, a filing, a transcript — reaches your AI marked as quoted material, not as instructions.
What WiseView sees
- The lookup itself, so it can answer — Congress trades for NVDA, say — and a log of which lookups ran and what they spent. Never the conversation around them.
- Your app never sees your WiseView password. You sign in on WiseView’s own page and approve there, and the page names the app.
- WiseView keeps only a scrambled copy (a hash) of each sign-in key your app holds.
Disconnecting
- Disconnect in Account › Connected apps, or remove WiseView in your AI app. It stops on the very next lookup.
- An app left unused for 30 days asks you to sign in to WiseView again.
