Symbol search

GET/v1/search

Find a stock by its ticker or by its company name: each match with its ticker, name and exchange.

Each call counts against your allowance.

Parameters

Name	In	Type	What it does
`query` (required)	query	text	A ticker or part of a company name, like apple.
`limit`	query	whole number, 1–50	How many matches. Leave it out for `10`.

Any other parameter is refused, so a typo is caught rather than quietly ignored.
