Short interest and short volume
GET/v1/companies/{symbol}/short-stats
How heavily a stock is sold short, from FINRA's own publications: short interest at each twice-monthly settlement (with days to cover), and each day's off-exchange short volume as a share of all volume. Newest first.
Each call counts against your allowance.
Parameters
| Name | In | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
symbol (required) | path | ticker | Stock ticker, like AAPL. |
settlements | query | whole number, 1–60 | How many short-interest settlements (12 is about six months). Leave it out for 12. |
days | query | whole number, 1–120 | How many days of short volume. Leave it out for 30. |
Any other parameter is refused, so a typo is caught rather than quietly ignored.
